Triumvirate is a Minecraft server that is hosted via the server IP play.triumviratemc.com. Originally owned by WizardTriumvir, but now owned by NotBananaHead, the server has undergone nine seasons.

The server is not limited to a time limit, rather the seasons end as player engagement decreases. Triumvirate revolves around factions and other groups of players, and strives heavily to be roleplay-lore based. Populated by mostly skilled builders, seasons quickly evolve into grand displays of nations and their accomplishments.

As quickly as they rise, they also fall.

The Great Outage of 24'

Season 1

(03/05/2022 - 03/21/2022)

Ran by OldManCrimes, Season 1 was the start of the Triumvirate as we know it, being born onto an older server with a small community.

Little is known about the first season of the Triumvirate. It was a relatively short season, only a little over a month long, with a small map and small factions. The known factions were the Vikings, Forest Elves, the Dragon Lords, the Dwarves, the Saint Cruz Holy Church, and then the rogue players.

Due to most of the original players having left, and those that didn't being inactive, not much else can be learned about this season.

Season 2

(03/28/2022 - 06/17/2022)

Season 2 of Triumvirate was started in March of 2022. Populated by three major races, The Dwarves, The Humans, and The Elves. Each faction representing their own moral standing, humans leaned towards being neutral and peaceful. Dwarves prided themselves to be the power of the server. Elves adopted honor as their system; however, they caught drama later in the season, resulting in the Great War of Season 2. This season is often looked on fondly by those that still remain from it.

The Peaceful Humans

The Peaceful humans of the Triumvirate did what they did best. The Italian Confederation was created by the longtime player, TheGreat_Raptor. While not contributing to any major fights, this organization remained steadfast through Season 2, they, unfortunately, did not continue their journey into Season 3. A small group of humans named The No-Names committed atrocious acts of PVP and developed a reputation around the server for their skill at fights and stealth. PremiumAxolotl, a member of this group was especially skilled and often terrorized the habitats of the Triumvirate. However, this group did not last long on the server and was ultimately disbanded, never to be seen again.

The Honorable Elves

The elves split into separate races, being divided as their place of home. The Two major factions of the elves were the Mountain Elves and the forest elves. The mountain elves would end up becoming less important in the season allowing the forest elves to dominate their race as the more popular faction. A respectful diplomat of the Forest Elves, NotBananaHead approached the strongest of the server Gurbai at his public base located at 0,0 to request an embassy. This shook the server and birthed The Elf Embassy Plaza, which later capitalized on the location to become the most successful marketplace on the server.

Shortly after The Elf Embassy Plaza was founded, New Moria had been discovered by an unknown player and this information conveniently found its way to NotBananaHead. Like a true Elf, he abandoned his moral values and spread this knowledge like wildfire. Soon, the entire server knew of New Moria's location.

This Dishonorable Elves

The great dark lord FlappyBird_Io is known as one of the most notorious villains of the season through his devious acts. He had stole, murdered and antagonized everyone's play sessions and even recruited known hackers in order to have an edge on the other factions.

The Powerful Dwarves

Starting off strong on the server, The Kin of Gurbai grabbed their rightful place as the most powerful faction in the server. Establishing a stronghold with an unknown location of New Moria. Gurbai and his followers led server members astray as they searched for New Moria, establishing fake highways and decoy bases to throw players off their scent. Shortly after The Kin of Gurbai strengthened their foothold by establishing more bases, including one at 0,0. They did not bother hiding the location of this stronghold, allowing all races to enter granted they removed their armor beforehand. Shortly after fortifying their position at 0,0, a diplomat from the Forest Elves, NotBananaHead approached with a proposition of setting up an embassy. After Gurbai granted his request, The Elf Embassy Plaza was created.

The End of Season 2

As all great nations rise, they too must fall. Tensions grew high between the members of Triumvirate, and eventually broke, causing an battle known as The Age of War. With no real winner decided of this catastrophic event, Triumvirate unfortunately followed it up with a great silence. Many war-sick players had abandoned their posts, and left the server eerily quiet and unplayable. The Great Wizard coming to the rescue pressed the big red button, deemed the server to be reborn, and return as Season 3.

Season 3

Season 3 really was the start of the server's rise in popularity and created the foundation for future seasons. Season 2 was what inspired players to really get into how they play on the Triumvirate server, but Season 3 had shaped how the community as a whole would be, and how it would continue building.

The Orcs

The Orcs were TheGreat_Raptor's return onto the server for the new season where he had decided to create a faction for the race we should have had in S2, He wanted the Orcs to be a powerful war mongering faction based off of the World of Warcraft orcs, but in reality they were just a pretty chill group of players with a stripper pole in the middle of their base. Lore-wise the orcs were known to be Wizard's creation when he was creating frogs from the latest Minecraft patch at that time. The orcs were Wizard's servants and praised the Wizard greatly in their feast hall.

The Mafia

The player Big Tony had heard about the former Italian confederation the season before and being a full blooded Italian man himself decided that the real thing any good Italian would do would be to create the Mafia where he had worked with many players in creating the Great Skull Mountain that they were known for building. The Mafia was most known for eating bread sticks and pizza and saying their catch phrase "I'm walking here."

The Aztecs

Created by the player NotBananaHead, the Aztecs were a faction that had many goals and ambitions that ended up crumbling as their player-base slowly yet surely had been converted into Mafia members because of a lack of a solid idea of how to continue their faction. Later on in the season, NotBananaHead himself had decided that the Aztecs were no longer profitable and inactive, causing the King's Crown to be hung up. He joined the Mafia to regain power over the market.

Fitch Dich

The player ItzzzJeponggg is the player known for creating "fitch dich" a phrase meaning "fuck you" in German that was the name of his group of players that agreed to form an alliance in order to take on the Mafia near the end of the season. The group did very little in stopping the Mafia's reign over the server, even being 5v1 by singular Mafia members like Narclim and GraySheep.

Drugs

This was the first season that the notorious drug known as "puff" or "zaza" would be invented by the player ChromeBeatle who shared her puff with other players in her faction which was the orcs and also the town of mousetown where she had gotten her supplies from. Puff was later on made illegal by Wizard himself because of rampart usage and orcs not being loyal servants like he had wished us to be.

Season 4

In Season 4, Triumvirate, went back to its roots with 3 choices. This time relied on players to develop a government and form a faction. The choice was simplified to the following: Green, later know as the Independents, whose morals were based on freedom, The Red, later known as The Barren Confederation, based on power, The Blue, Later known as The Austere, who prided themselves on honor.

The Barren Confederation

The Barren Confederation’s first leaders were NotBananaHead, Sam, and lavanderfires. These three were elected before the season had started. With time lavander would leave the faction when everyone else was pushing for a war with the Austere. Sam wasn’t very active this season and would soon be forgotten. For the first few weeks of the season, the TBC was outnumbered by the Austere, in this time they built a giant cow by their old base. By January, though, their members had increased significantly as more and more people looked to join TBC. The faction grew and with it TBC had to move its main faction location to a pair of islands nearby. This would become the home to a lot of the members. With the underground being one of the first parts developed and the rest of the island was soon to follow.

In terms of leaders, Narclim, AJ, and Ghosty were promoted to leaders around the start of January. Then causal and eventually KPWA. Ghosty betrayed the TBC for KEF and killed NotBananaHead at the end of the season. Soon after Ghosty betrayed, he became a wandering author during the war and rejoined TBC. TBC members were thought to be quite violent. You can see one of their battle cries below.

The Austere

The Austere was founded by TheGreat_Raptor, Salvin, and Chromebeetle. It seems the faction cycled through a few leaders, but there always seemed to be at least 3 of them. Swing wrote their laws, later taking up the post as one of its leaders, while Graysheep was their main officer/general. The Austere laid their mark near The Barren Confederation (TBC) in the form of a large cow to signify their loyalty to the great cow god. After their first war ended in victory. Tensions started to grow with the other factions, mainly TBC; however, it seems no large wars were ever fought against TBC. As time passed the leaders of this faction started to disappear and the faction started to collapse. More on this faction here.

Adventura

The history of Adventura has been lost with the exit of markuas77.

The Age of Upgrades

From the start of the season to December 20th was known as “The Age of Upgrades”, where all of the factions set up shop and began to create a civilization from scratch. Besides the Red and Blue, a sub-faction was created in green by user markuas77 with the start of Aventura. This would be known as the largest faction within the Independents. It would later be abandoned due to lack of activity and the exit of markuas77.

In the mist of the Age of Upgrades, a small war would break out between The Austere and The Empire of Tyr, who would later become Allies in the Great War of Triumvirate. The Austere took over the territory and it became the Fallen Empire of Tyr. Later. A new faction would be created by user “tyr(????)” coined as The Domination of Tyr.

After the Age of Upgrades, the “Dawn of War” begun and members between the rival factions prepared for battle. On January 5th, 2023, Barren Confederation leader NotBananaHead captured an Austere ambassador, P0lyphonic, ordering his guards to throw him in jail, beginning the second “Age of War”.

Season 5

Season 5 ended a bit abruptly. This season began on April 8th. While season 5 wasn't as long as other seasons a lot happened, npc's were added to admin shops, there were quest giving npc's, and players made guilds to fit the medieval theme. The main guilds were the adventure's guild, the agriculture guild, and the cartographers guild. While there were plans for other guilds, the season ended before players were able to explore those options.

Monarchy

This season the server also had a king and queen that were voted on by the players. In the running for rulers were Narclim, Pug, OHGoDNoOo, Ghosty, and AJ_n_Crafts. Players were given updates during the voting. While the race for crown was close two of the top participates made a packed to add there votes together and win together, efficiently ending the run for ruler and announcing there rule, Queen AJ_n_Crafts and King Ghosty were soon appointed King and Queen of Season 5.

Rome

Rome began at a small fort, later the Emperor NotBananaHead, found a new spot to begin our empire. With the help of our slaves, we constructed the main hall, which was used for meetings (or Conventuses) to organize our nation. The city grew and more houses were made. Two towers watched over the land, and small walls were being constructed. There were the Senators (Unboxer, Frost, Banfam, and temporarily jifz) who ran the city, with roles such as The head senator (Banfam), Warlord (Frost), and architect (Unboxer).

With the help of his second in command Banfam, Banana found a land for new rome, the greatest city in all the lands, was to be built. But there was a problem, Mythoria lived near the land and threatened war against rome. We were ready to fight for the land, but then, Banana got sick, and had to temporarily step down, effectively making Banfam, the temporary Emperor of Rome. Things slowed down and no conflict arose. Threats came towards Rome from the King and many other nations. Then, like all the other factions, Rome died off…

Naturii

On the same continent lived Naturii, a powerful nation that was at war with Rome. They preferred to avoid conflicts as the hoped to achieve peace and protect nature. The Naturii leaders, such as Pillow, who created and owned the city of nature, and Loucious the head priest saw Rome as a threat to all life, and during the season would constantly be at odds.

Mythoria

Across the river on the tallest mountain presided Mythoria, the fortress of glass. It had towers guarding the high walls, and was seemingly unbreakable. The city was owned by xDreadful, also known as Dre, and had 15 people at the end of the season. After many small skirmishes and a invasion lead by the Roman emperor NotBananaHead himself, Dre proposed the anti-Rome-alliance (ARA for short). Inside this treaty was naturii, mythoria, equitaria and the high council of elves.

Season 6

There is now a start date for season 6, July 14th. Players were given the go ahead to start advertising factions. So far they look promising. The wizard has blessed us with news, "Everyone spawns within a square radius 1000 that slowly expands as the season continues." Hopefully there wont be a problem of 3 factions within 50 blocks of each other this season.

Froot Loops

Here in the Froot Loops empire you can experience everything this world has to offer, if you wanna build some stuff ask the leader (misteriark) and he’ll surely agree. Us, Froot God worshipers, have been hiding in the shadows for centuries waiting for the perfect time to rise to the surface. And it seems that the time has come. We are here to make the biggest empire known to man who will be known as: The Froot Loops Empire. You don’t have to worship the Froot God to visit our lands but beware of the secrets that lie after, the things you are not meant to see could greatly endanger you.

Stardew Valley

Hello and welcome to Stardew Valley! We are a small village sitting in a cherry blossoms valley! We mostly spend our time farming. And farming. And um...well farming! Oh! Sometimes we expand our village so we also do building!

Within Stardew Valley, we have The Council, a group of currently 7 leaders with the head Council Member being UnknownAngelFish. Below her is her ever so sweet wife, Tofi. (They have like...16 pets together. They're crazy pet owners). The beloved Big Sis, Hex. The Ultimate Treemaker wolf, Jake. The Illusive fox, Tinus. The coolest, Icee. And Capurai.

Since the start of Stardew, we have had many Council members and Valley Members that unfortunately took their leave to better places. Banfam, a beloved Council Member(despite him being stinky and really gross trash goblin) that betrayed us and made his own faction. Xterminator, a well loved Valley Member who left and went to space! Crazy right?! He now has his own home with the stars and moon! He also took a few of others with him for his expedition. Gremlim, a cave dweller that has been lost to the caves. May she rest in peace. With the war with the Mafia peacefully solved(along with many other issues), Stardew Valley is able to finish multiple builds they were holding off on!

UnknownAngelFish is FINALLY building her castle. Her castle wall no longer being referred to as "The Mexican Wall" by Jake. The center piece of Stardew Valley, a large cherry tree, is almost fully grown! Jake has been tending to it for what seems to be centuries! It has been noted that the tree is UnknownAngelFish's favorite part of the faction's home. UnknownAngelFish is also the holder of many ancient relics(only 2....but like...let's be cool for once). The not so stale, Cheesepuff

And a book that no one else has ever touched. She keeps it hidden deep within her...not yet building castle!

Mousetown

Welcome to Mousetown! An idyllic place where you can be absolutely free. Here you can experience unique brews, cheerful scenery, and even possibly receive a blessing from the mouse god.

Mousetown seems to have existed throughout different planes of existence, always popping up with different iterations. Nobody knows why or how it chooses where to build itself next, but it is popular belief that it comes around when people least expect it, and when people most need it.

Promoting peace and fellowship, Mousetown welcomes all. No invitation is needed to come and enjoy the spectacle of which the mouse god has provided. Mousetown is lead by Mousetown who is the personification of Mousetown sent by the Mouse god himself. As the town continues to grow it shall bloom into a beautiful and enchanted location. We hope to see you around.

Starfall Raiders

Welcome to the Starfall Raider this was a faction made by a couple of friends' after leaving the faction Stardew and this faction knew almost everyone from every corner of the earth is was started for some friends to have fun made towards the end of the faction founded by joerogan214 they have lived in the end and made some bases in the overworld and trying to learn about the powers of magic!

Summotia

Welcome to Summotia! A usually peaceful but sometimes millitary faction. Summotia did not have a lot of members in its uptime. Overtime, the faction's leader (snake10099) had been deploying outposts around the world.

Mafia Reborn

(Narclim refused to write in 3rd person, and I refused to change it for them)

The Mafia was a season 3 faction making a return in season 6. Big Tony returned to the server along with 5l0th Isaax and Atrain. The Mafia’s main goal was to build a massive 200x200 cyber city. However, like the mega build in season 3 this would never be completed. The mafia has an early lead in the server, having the most power, members and gear. Due to this many other factions felt threatened by the Mafia. This was furthered when the Mafia and Stardew Valley went to war.

Around a month into the season, Big Tony, 5l0th, Isaax and Atrain would all be banned from the server for general toxicity and ignoring server rules. Most of the remaining Mafia left the faction. I, Narclim, took over the faction like I did in S3. My plans were to rebuild the faction from scratch and start on a smaller build project in the end dimension. These plans were put on stand by when the leader of the Serpents contacted me about an Anti Mafia alliance (called KMC at the time, later called TTTF) planning to finish off my faction.

I formed the ADFA (an alliance against tyranny) to prevent this, as no faction should be forced to disband just because others want to. While not many people joined, I was very successful in defending the Mafia as we suffered zero losses or deaths to the TTTF, while killing well over half of them in tern.

Hello, and Welcome to the Merchant Alliance.

Our Faction is focused on the economy of the server and the Sale of goods. We try to remain in good standing with all other factions but will fight back if provoked.

Theme: Medieval science (like where learning about the future but still in medieval times)

Lore: From their cave deep below the surface, The Merchant Alliance has thier eyes set on tackling the economy and taking full control of the money. From running shops to directing trade, the Merchant Alliance is there.

Goal(s): Our main goal is to construct and run a Casino that remains open to all members of any faction, as long as the remain of good standing. Nothing will stand in our way.

Durin Folk

As Durin the first I have looked through mountains and caves for a home worthy of my people. We have a natural affinity for stone and ore and gem. We live to build great halls for our kings and trade earth and craft for the peoples of our world. We are a hardy folk. Tough in battle but also apt for good ale and a laugh. We do not forgive easily and take insult to heart. To join, must be a dwarf, a good underground builder and ready to follow a dwarvern aesthetic. Also must be prepared to spend your minecraft days mining giant holes...

For lore sake I take the name of Durin I. King of all dwarves, the oldest and the wisest.

League of Evil

The Sky bois is a floating mob free island where you will have endless potatoes yesyes and all the room you would want to expand your base as well as a awesome view (if your render distance is good enough) above all the land dwellers. As the sun rose on Season 7 of Triumvirate SMP, we found ourselves standing at the threshold of a new era, guided by the benevolent presence of three patron gods——Abeona, Portunus, and Janus. These divine entities, each with their unique essence, shape the narrative of our collective journey in this pixelated realm.

This season saw a lot of exciting new plugins in order to elevate our Minecraft experience. These plugins enhanced gameplay mechanics and immersive features, offering a fresh layer of excitement to our wonderful world. It was a crazy time on the Triumvirate.

Season 8

For S8, we went back to the basics of S4 and continuing with our origins of 3. The faction leaders were chosen. There were the Independents, the Grand Republic of Kelsnar, under the leadership of Swing, and Kisir, under the leadship of kpwa.

Season X

The Great Outage of 24'

Season X was cut short just 1 month into the series due to the biggest problem triumvirate has seen. Our former hosting service weve ran since season 2 ended up giving their own storage away to people to use as personal data servers. this caused the server to run out of storage, which is really impossible for most hosting providers since they give us an unlimited ammount. this outage completely killed the server and by the time it was resorted the playercount was 0 to none.
