REVAMPING!! The wiki is currently being remodeled. Sorry for any awkward pages.
Make our custom potions and brew the highest quality alcohol with the Brewery plugin. For all the core plugin information that we might not cover, check out the Spigot page.
While you can still make vanilla Minecraft potions normally, brewing in the Triumvirate has been significantly expanded through the use of the Brewery plugin. Many new, custom potions have been added, including alcoholic beverages.
Unlike normal Minecraft, brewing in the Triumvirate is not as simple as adding ingredients to a brewing stand. Depending on the recipe the process can be difficult and time-consuming. You may need to be more precise when it comes to ingredients or fermentation of some recipes, while others may have a bit more leniency. If one step is not good enough, the quality of the brew may suffer, leading to side effects such as poor-quality alcohol and other negative status effects.
A properly set up cauldron for brewing.
Step one of the brewing process consists of fermenting fresh ingredients in a cauldron.
Place a cauldron over a fire, to allow the ingredients to properly cook
Fill the cauldron with water
Add ingredients to the cauldron by right-clicking
Wait a few minutes while the ingredients ferment
Fill glass bottles with the cauldron's contents
You can click the cauldron with a clock to see how long it has been fermenting.
Distilling is the process of increasing the alcohol content of a drink. Some recipes may not require you to distill the brew.
Put the bottles with ferment into a brewing stand
Place glowstone dust as a filter into the top slot of the brewing stand (The glowstone dust is not consumed)
You do not need to add blaze powder to the brewing stand as you normally would.
You use a barrel to age potions. Some options may not require this step. Some brews may also require that they are aged in a barrel made from a certain type of wood.
The default Minecraft Barrel can be used for aging a few brews. Simply craft and place the barrel and put your potions inside (up to a maximum of six potions at a time). For wood type, these barrels are considered oak.
Use eight wooden stair blocks in a barrel shape to create a small barrel. All stairs must be the same wood type. Place a sign on the barrel with the word "Barrel" written on it. A message saying "Barrel created" should then appear. You may destroy the sign after this. This barrel can age nine brews at a time.
Using 16 wooden stairs, 18 wooden planks, and 5 wooden fences, a large barrel that can age 27 brews at once can be created. Place a sign on the barrel with the word "Barrel" written on it. A message saying "Barrel created" should then appear. You may destroy the sign after this.
Open a barrel by clicking on it like you would any other container. Every Minecraft day(20 minutes), the brew will age one year.
The amount of alcohol inside a brew will be applied to the player upon consumption. Depending on the alcohol's quality different effects and durations may apply.
You may not be able to walk properly anymore
Chat messages will be altered
You may vomit soul sand (if it's in your inventory)
Effects like blindness, poison, or nausea may occur
If you log off while drunk, you may wake up with negative effects from a hangover.
Additionally, if you log off while drunk, you may need to try multiple times to reconnect and may wake up at /home with no idea how you got there.
To sell brews through the shop plugin, they must be equalized to other similar potions. This is done on a brew sealing table, crafted using two bottles over four planks. Sealed brews cannot be aged or modified any further and don't show their details anymore.
In order to discover brewing recipes you have to experiment with different ingredients and fermentation times. You can also ask experienced brewers for hints. Many of the brews are based upon their real counterparts (Beer in real life is typically made from wheat, so in Minecraft wheat is also used). If you're looking for recipes that have been revealed, take a look at the Smudged Scrap of Paper for the recipes you seek.
